Utopia/Dystopia Examples Pre-Work

Notes:

Title of Film or Video:	Ways it showed a UTOPIA	Ways it showed DYSTOPIA
Here's the Plan	There were lots of bright colors and the characters' appearances were naive.	After they get successful jobs, no longer can the characters bake, which they used to love doing.
Truman Show	His pretend life was very joyful and nothing super terrible happened to him.	The main character was being watched his entire life and never realized.
Children	All students were getting 100%.	All students had zippers for mouths.

Definitions:

Utopia - an imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect.

Dystopia - an imagined state or society in which there is great suffering or injustice, typically one that is totalitarian or post-apocalyptic.
